Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that have been released by her. DiFranco's songs are classified as folk and alternative rock. However, they also have influences from hip hop as well as jazz and punk. Ani Difranco is widely acknowledged as a pioneer of feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first people to launch her own record label. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The parents of her mother and father were both of Montreal from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the track 32 Flavors. The track was released on her 5th studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. The song appears in the soundtrack to 1999's Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco issued an apology in 2013 after it became clear that she'd set up a three-day workshop in the Louisiana plantation.
