Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that have been released by her. DiFranco's songs are classified as folk and alternative rock. However, they also have influences from hip hop as well as jazz and punk. Ani Difranco is widely acknowledged as a pioneer of feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first people to launch her own record label. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
