Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer and activist for animal rights. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). The daughter of an artistic family living in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story was an international success, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the world after only three films. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has married thrice.
